A jealous husband doused his wife in petrol and set her alight after flying into a rage over innocent selfies she posted on Facebook.
Chatchawarn Tarrin, 28, had been married to Nednapha Nuankhul, 26, since January last year but became possessive and abusive months into the marriage.
Nednapha posted three innocent pictures on Facebook in December - sending her husband into a jealous fury.
The mother-of-one tried to flee but Chatchawarn allegedly poured fuel on her then set her alight at their home in Amphoe Chiang Kham, northern Thailand.
Nednapha suffered horrific burns across her entire body and face - needing three emergency operations and several more in the coming months.
But incredibly, Nednapha said she forgives her husband - who is awaiting sentencing - for the sake of their son who she doesnt want to be affected by the alleged attack.
Nednapha, who has now been released from hospital, said: It has scarred me on the outside and in my heart, too. But I have to forgive my husband because we have a child together.
''When the fire was burning I felt like I knew that hell was real. It was the worst pain and terror anybody could ever imagine.
Im like this now forever and I know that hell exists.
You can run away from anything but you cannot run away from karma. Nobody knew this would happen but some things we just cannot escape.
'My husband will be full of sin and he will feel karma one day, too. Now my husband cannot run away from anything. He has been put in prison and he has a son that needs care and a father.''
Friend Sudarat Khunarup took pictures of Nednapha to raise money for her medical care for bandages and treatment for the wounds plus skin grafts.
She said: 'Nednapha had oil poured on her by her husband. She survived it but she is in a lot of pain and needs a lot of medical help.
'She has had surgery on her neck, mouth and chin two or three times already. Her fingers are also very badly damaged and she needs more surgery on her right arm, and she has many ligament problems now.
She cannot work and she her husband cannot support her because he is in prison. Now she needs help with necessities such as water, alcohol ointment for the wounds, cotton fabrics, dressings and other medical supplies.'
Chatchawarn is being held by police after admitting the attack. Officers at the Chiang Kham police station have not told Nednapha when he will be sentenced and for how long.
A spokesman said: This was a conjugal issue and it is currently being investigated so we can give the correct sentence.''

وتعود التفاصيل عندما عصر الزوج “شاتوران تارن” 28 عامًا على صور السيلفي الخاصة بزوجته “نيدفانا نيانجول” 26 عامًا على صفحتها الشخصية بـ”فيسبوك”، فاستشاط غضبًا وأحرقها بالبنزبن حية أمام طفلها.
وأصيبت الزوجة المسكينة بحروق قاسية فى الوجه والجسد، الأمر الذى يتطلب خضوعها لثلاث عمليات جراحات تجميلية باهظة لتتمكن من العيش بصورة طبيعية مجددًا بعد الكارثة ولضيق الحال يقوم الأصدقاء بجمع تبرعات من أجل توفير تكلفة العمليات الثلاثة.
واعتقلت السلطات المحلية الزوج الجانى، ومع اقتراب مثوله للمحاكمة، حدث أمرًا لم يكن يتوقعه أحد، تنازلت الزوجة عن القضية وسامحته بسبب الطفل المشترك بينهما، واضافت أنه شوهها من الخارج والداخل، ولكن لابد أن يكون هناك أحد لرعاية الطفل إلا أنه مازال رهن اعتقال الشرطة ولم يستدل على مكانه،
وقال المتحدث الرسمي باسم الشرطة أنه فى كل الأحوال سيصدر بحقه حكم واجب التنفيذ.
يذكر أن الزوجة المحترقة أجرت العديد من العمليات فى أجزاء من الوجه، ومازالت تحتاج لترميم الجلد، وتجميل باقي أجزاء الجسد المتضررة.
وانتشرت القصة الكارثية بقوة على الإنترنت فى الساعات الماضية وطالب الرواد بضروة معاقبة مثل هذه النماذج المتهورة، التى قد تدمر أسرة بالكامل فى لحظات غضب.
